we could just watch each other
spiraling away with the air
given by time and impatience and worldly time again
and whisper into each of our own nightly scenery
(which really are not bedrooms when you use your imagination)
and feel our thoughts collide
on their way to eternity, where they'll disappear
for another generation, a thousand years from now
to discover and disappear once more...
I thought that I could feel you
heart pulsing from even across the ocean
but a single tie from the left---
can't affect anything without the right
for then you feel like the other side
a slow motion, devotion, doting
(on emotion)
that I question and hope I'm not the only one
to ask why the world spins
even when other things don't
will you listen...?
even from the other place
beyond Atlantis and the islands
over a few setting suns
where our moon runs away in the morning--
to shine upon you
I know it's not forever
it just seems
(somewhat emotional) and

and I wonder
if your eyes can pierce the earth
(for miles and miles between us)

Harvest Moon
You remind me of the harvest moon
tugging the shore from beneath my feet, of
rowing out to sea in winter with empty nets
till spring, of catching every breath
in crystals on the same forgotten docks,
Where gravity knots my tendons into rope,
my teeth into chalk and ash, and my eyes
into searchlights scanning the horizon
for the first ship that leads to you.
